The Charlottesville Chamber Music Festival will be presenting its 18th season of world-class chamber music this fall from September 8-21, 2017.
This year’s festival will bring the adventurous and creative string quartet Brooklyn Rider, pianists Andrew Armstrong and Conor Hanick, violinists Alexi Kenney and Sharon Roffman, cellist Clancy Newman, and bassist Joe Conyers.
The program will bring the romantic and post-romantic forward, with Schoenberg’s (and Lord Byron’s) meditation on worldly power, Ode to Napoleon, at its core. Also to come are works by Gabriel Faure, Ludwig van Beethoven, W.A. Mozart, Evan Ziporyn, Gustav Mahler, and many, many more.
Details and programs to come; stay tuned here and on social media.
